Enteropneusta

Enteropneusta: Enteropneusta, Eichelwürmer, weniger als 100 im Meeresboden lebende, 10–50 cm lange, wurmförmige Arten umfassende Klasse der ⇒ Hemichordata. Kopfschild als schwellbares Bohrorgan (Eichel); hohe Zahl von Kiemenspalten. Larve Tornaria trägt ring- und schnurförmige Wimperbänder und ähnelt den Larven der Echinodermaten. Vermehrung durch Knospung und Abschnürung. E. leben als Suspensionsfresser, häufig in Wohnröhren.
